While most of the US universities accept undergraduate applications through the Common Application Portal, Suffolk University accepts both undergraduate as well as graduate applications directly from its online admission portal. What students need to do is, visit the said portals and follow the instructions online.

Admission Portals

International undergraduates may apply to Suffolk programs online via either of the following methods:

On the other hand, graduate students may apply directly through the university website (application portal) .

Applicants are required to create an account or log in to fill out the application and apply to their chosen program. The step-by-step process to apply through the Suffolk University undergraduate application portal is as follows:

Step 1: Visit official website for undergraduate application and register as a new international applicant using an active email address.

Step 2: Set a strong password as per the guidelines.

Step 3: Click on ‘Start New Application’.

Step 4: Choose the application intake and decision type.

Step 5: Complete all the steps by provide the information 

Note: Pay the application fee when required, upload the supporting documents as asked, review the application in the end, and submit the form to complete the same.Refer to the process of graduate application from Step No. 5 for more information.

The initial steps of both graduate and international applications are similar. International graduates may refer to the step-by-step application process given below:

Step 1: Visit official website for graduate application and register as a new international applicant. Create a new account using an active email address. Set a strong password as per the instructions. Steps till here are absolutely the same as undergraduate application.

Step 2: Choose the degree type.

Step 3: Choose the intake session.

Step 4: Complete all the steps by provide the information

Step 5: Fill in your personal information, such as name, gender, contact information, permanent address, country, etc.

Step 6: Fill in your education history, programme information, employment history, test scores, passport information, etc. Upload all the required documents such as resumes, letters of recommendation, and transcripts, etc.

Step 7: After filling in all the required fields and information, students can review and submit the application. In case of missing information, students can go back to the relevant page and fill up all the missing fields highlighted in red.

Last step: Complete the missing details, pay the application fee, upload supporting documents, review the application, and submit the form.

The university offers various scholarships to international students. Scholarships are offered based on merit scores and the academic achievements of students. Some scholarships are also offered based on students’ financial needs.

Suffolk International Scholarships

Some of the popular scholarships offered by the university to international students are:

Alumni Scholarships: A scholarship of USD 3,500 to USD 10,000 is offered to undergraduate students enrolled in a CAS graduate programme at the university.

William Brennan Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to students who need financial assistance to pay their tuition fees or living expenses. It is offered to students enrolled in the MPA programme at the university. The scholarship amounts vary depending on the financial need of students.

Executive MBA Grant: This scholarship is offered to students enrolled in an Executive MBA programme at the university. The scholarship amount ranges between USD 9,000 and USD 18,000 based on the programme length.

Merit Scholarships: Merit scholarships are automatically offered to students based on their merit scores and academic excellence. The award prize varies from student to student based on merit scores. Students are not required to apply for this scholarship as the university automatically considers them.

The admission requirements for international students specify submitting various transcripts, certificates, and exam scores. All the transcripts and documents must be in English. If not, students are advised to get them translated by an authorized officer.
