Hi,
1. It is advisable that you go for regular law course since Bar Council of India does not approve "Distance Law Degrees" and hence you'll not be able to practice as a lawyer.
2. As for Lectureship, you need to apply for UGC NET which is conducted mainly to recruit research assistants and professors in various streams of education.
Qualifying Examination:
The candidates those who have completed their post graduation from any recognized university in related subjects can appear for the exam. The candidate must have a minimum of 55%.
