As per the eligibility criteria of AFCAT, The candidate should have passed 3 or 4 years of Bachelor degree with minimum 60% of marks from a recognised University. So 2nd year B.Tech students are not eligible for AFCAT exam.

IBS Dehradun offers a proper MBA Degree hence if you are doing a Ph.D. you don't require to again get MBA Degree in a distance course.
