It is difficult to get seat secured at this score. Usually, the cut-off for MAT is more than 99 percentile. I would suggest you to try for it and wait till the institute level round. Otherwise, you can apply for good institutes like Chetana, SIES, IES and many more in Mumbai.

After diploma, you can go with degree level courses or PG diploma programs. B.Tech degree can be obtained with specialization in Automobile Engineering or Automobile design Engineering. Admission to the course can be done through lateral entry and thereby you can save one year. Post Graduate Diploma in Automobile Engineering is also suitable for you. Or else you can try for a job with railways, defense, government departments etc.

You take some coaching and write IELTS exam. You can apply to university with your PUC mark sheet and IELTS mark sheet. You can register on Shiksha itself if you want to study in Canada.

It's the first batch will be graduating in 2017. So there is no placement but students are doing internship in reputed companies like BMW, Honda Car etc while some in education institute like IITs and also many in Arcelor Mittal, Kazakhstan.
Hopes it sums up the expectations of placements.
