The university offers both on and off-campus housing accommodations to its students. Students can choose their rooms and residences according to their requirements. The university has 3,700 residents in 57 lounges. The main residence halls include Panther Hall, Lakeview Hall, Honours College at Parkview, and Bayview at BBC. Room facilities include a shared bathroom, laundry room, twin mattress, refrigerators, floor kitchens, dresser, desk, nightstand, Wi-Fi, cable TV, and meal options. The housing rates are:

Students at AIIMS Rishikesh are allowed to bring their own air conditioners for their hostel rooms, but securing permission from the hostel warden is a must. The students bear the responsibility of covering the operating costs for these cooling devices, emphasizing the need for a sense of accountability. Meanwhile, the air conditioning system at AIIMS Rishikesh plays a vital role in maintaining a cool and comfortable campus, particularly during the scorching summer months. Notably, the central air conditioning system utilises a VRV (variable refrigerant volume) system, known for its efficiency in rapidly and evenly cooling large areas. 

AIIMS Rishikesh ensures well-being of its students through well-equipped hostels catering to various needs. The hostel surroundings has abundant greenery with gardens and trees. Each room is equipped with power backup, geysers in washroom areas, and water coolers with ROs on every floor. The newly constructed and well-ventilated hostel rooms are furnished with essential items such as beds, tables, chairs, cupboards, and bookshelves. Common rooms in all hostels feature TVs and cable connections for student entertainment, along with reading rooms and libraries in specific hostels. Additionally, modern amenities include CCTV surveillance, 24/7 security personnel, a 24x7 canteen, uninterrupted power supply in common areas, and dedicated parking facilities.

Undergraduate Admission

Students should have completed high school from a recognised institution with a GPA of 2.0 at least. SAT/ACT scores are required for some courses, and the university may accepts credit transfer for Advance Placement (AP) courses. Applicants should have following credits in each course:

• English: 4 credits
• Mathematics: 4 credits
• Natural Science: 3 credits
• Social Science: 3 credits
• Second language: 2 credits
• Additional academic electives: 2 credits

Graduate Admission

Graduate applicants should have a bachelor's degree from a recognised university with a GPA of 3.0. GMAT or GRE scores are required as per course requirements. For English language requirements, refer to the table below:

Rabindra Bharati University MA English is a two year programme available in full-time and distance education mode. It is one of the popular MA specialisations offered at RBU Kolkata. Candidates who have passed BA (Hons) in English can apply for MA English programme. After completing the degree, students can also participate in the placement drive.

RBU Kolkata has not released the 2024 placement details on its official website yet. However, as per the students’ reviews on the Shiksha page, 75% of the recent batch was successfully placed in reputed companies. The highest and average packages offered during the recent Rabindra Bharati University placements was INR 8 LPA and INR 3.50 LPA, respectively.
