Indian judiciary has always been a male dominated arena, for decades. Going by the latest trends, Out of 1.7 million advocates in India, only 15% are women. Only 2% elected representatives in the State Bar Councils are women. However, the numbers are improving, still there is a long way to go when it comes to females making lawyers in Indian judiciary.

No, the usage of CAO portal depends on the location of an Indian student. But if you stay in India only, you can make an application via the official wesbsite of the University of Galway.

It is to be noted that if you use CAO portal for the UG application, you would have to pay the University of Galway application fee of EUR 45 but for direct application it is only EUR 35.
