It is very difficult to generalize and say that you will get good package after education in Private university. Industry decides about package to be offered to various kind of colleges/ universities based on faculty, facilities, brand image, alumni network, ex students performance in companies, shortage of skills & talents etc.

If you are planning to study up to graduation only then you may face challenges in job search in comparison to regular BCom. However, if you are planning to do post graduation, recruiter will look at your PG degree not UG degree.

All the branches of engineering are equally good and have tremendous job opportunities. It entirely depends on how well you understand and handle the stream and increase your scope of growth.
Also, if possible go through the alumni speak section to get an idea what the alumni thinks about the institute. However, we can help you with the parameters that you can keep in mind while choosing an institute. You can consider the below parameters :

Subclass 476 is for fresh Engineering Graduates who have completed their degree program in the last two years from either of the recognized institutes. It is limited to the following universities for India -
Anna University—Chennai
Baranas Hindu University—Varanasi
Indian Institute of Science—Bangalore
Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur
Indian School of Mines—Dhanbad
also, you need to be below 31 years of age when you apply. The visa essentially allows you to be in Australia for 18 months to travel, work or pursue education.
