The food prepared in the canteen has all kinds that are liked by the students coming from different places. There are separate hostels for boys and girls with 24*7 security and respective rector. The buildings are within walking distance of each other on campus and are named after veterans; For example Sarojini Nadu and Kalpana Chawla for Girls Hostel. This is also part of the motivation for students as they feel different when they step into the hostel rooms. Hostels have a common room which is also called TV room and have TV and seating as part of entertainment and enjoyment during cricket matches or other events. Hostels provide Wi-Fi facility to students and staff to browse and research for their assignments.

The process for a private seat for BVSC in CSKAU Palampur is as follows:
1. The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics Chemistry Biology and English . As compulsory subjects.
2. The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of English . Physics Chemistry and Biology.
3. The candidate must have applied for the entrance test conducted by CSKAU Palampur.
4. The candidate must have qualified the entrance test.
