If you are preparing for a banking job, you must know about the syllabus, exam pattern and which type of questions they ask you. You need to be updated with the current affairs and news also. There are two types of exams:
Preliminary Exam
Mains Exam
First, you have to clear preliminary exam then you will be eligible for Mains exam. The cut-off marks will be decided by the bank authority. You have to prepare for the following subjects.
Test of Reasoning
Test of English Language
Test of Computer Knowledge
Test of General Awareness
Test of Numerical Ability
And for Preliminary Exam
English Language
Reasoning Ability
Quantitative Aptitude
You can also solve the last year's question papers which help you with the preparation, and you should also go for online test series.

There are few options you can try to cover up the intervening period well before MBA season kicks off:
Don't look out for jobs, get an internship instead: It's difficult for a fresh graduate to grab a good paying job off campus in most of the cases. Companies aren't willing to extend quality jobs to freshers that easily as they simply look out for candidates with stellar profiles. However, getting an internship might not be that big of an issue. HR people usually prefer internships over full time job for one special reason: Lesser compensation for an equally challenging work profile. Therefore, you might have to compromise on remuneration if you opt for an internship in a suitable domain. Take up a domain neutral profiles: Profiles with designations such as Research Analyst, Management Trainee, etc. are considered to be general management profiles, thus they are not domain specific. In other words, you will not be working for a particular management field. Do not plan professional experience but something else: If Plan 1 & 2 don't work out, you can always opt for things which you might be interested in. What about becoming a private tutor or maybe start working for an NGO? These might not add something substantial to your CV, but they do provide ample opportunities to learn and grow as an individual. Still not satisfied? Chuck out everything. Get enrolled for year long full time Diploma course of your choice and be a Diploma holder by the time you join an MBA college next year. Remember you can pursue CFA in addition to any of the four options stated above. But, don't pursue only CFA as its just one exam that you'll have to clear in a year. Not a full time commitment.
