I am preparing for UPSC, so I can help you with this question much better. There are 3 stages you have to cross to become an IAS officer. First is prelims then Mains and lastly interview. In prelims, there are MCQ questions regarding current affairs, science and technology, general studies, etc. There are two papers in prelims both are of 200 marks.
