Eligibility for Admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating through Central Seat Allocation Board:
Admission to B.E. / B.Tech / B.Arch / B. Planning. Courses in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board will be based on All India Rank subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class / Qualifying examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class / qualifying examination. So from above 75% marks at 12th level are mandatory for General category (65% for SC/ST) for Spans, NITs and IITs for admission there. However top 20 percentile of respective board is another criteria for admission. So you can obtained the top 20 percentile list from your educational board or ask to your college regarding this. If yours marks are falling in the top 20 percentile of your board than you can be eligible.
