Yes, BITS is considered a hard institute to get admission at. This difficulty has been attributed to the BITSAT which is the accepted entrance exam for all courses. 

Candidates need to prepare for the BITSAT through its syllabus to maximize the chances of being selected for BITS admissions.

Federal and state grants are not available for international students. Also, merit scholarships are not available to international upcoming first-year students. Moreover, the PhD programme at the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology is a three-year full-time programme. The admission to the PhD course is based on the candidate's performance in the GATE exam, followed by a personal interview. The fee structure for the PhD programme at MAKAUT varies depending on the discipline.

There is no university-specific entrance exam to take admission in Kumarguru. The college adheres to the TNEA counselling process for its undergraduate courses. While for postgraduate courses, Kumarguru College of Technology accepts TANECT scores.

The students at Kumarguru are expected to wear a formal dress while attending virtual as well as face-to-face classes.
