Here, by advocate, I mean somebody who tries to advance their clients interests in some way, typically involving (at least to some extent) persuasion. Yes, you can appear for NET after completing your Masters in Law from the UK. The National Eligibility Test (NET) is a national level exam conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for the eligibility of lectureship and junior research fellowship in Indian universities and colleges.
