Hi, I can understand your apprehension and angst why you are studying in 12th standard. But let me assure you that the marks in the 12th standard are not the criteria for getting admission for BTech in any discipline. For IIT one needs to score minimum 75% off marks in the 12th board. After this the students performance in JEE Mains will enable him to appear for JEE advanced and the performance in JEE advanced would only enable the student to get admission in any one of the IIT's. To be very simple and clear, candidates with the age of 16.5 years to 19.5 years are completely eligible for the exam and most importantly, if you are asking about the number of attempts, then you can clear it in the very first attempt. The only thing that is required to clear this exam in the very first attempt is the hard work and dedication.
