Every candidate who is willing to apply for CDS must have completed their Graduation or at least is appearing for the final exam of the degree. The detailed eligibility criteria for female is given below. Age for Officers Training Academy SSC Women Non-Technical Course) : 19- 25 Years

Educational qualification : For I. M.A. And OTA, candidates should have a degree of a university or equivalent degree from institutions that have been recognised by Central/State Government. Note :
1. Candidates who are in their final year/ semester Degree course and have not completed the course yet can apply for CDS Exam. They need to submit proof of passing the Degree by the prescribed date and no request for extending this date will be considered on any other ground whatsoever.
2. Candidates who are studying in the final year/semester degree course are required to submit the authentic Certificate of passing the degree issued by University/College at the time of SSB interview. The Certificate of the Degree should contain the date of issue and the date of issue must be before the specified date declared by UPSC. Otherwise, their candidature will be canceled. So from above you are eligible for CDS.

1. Counsellors are required in NGOs, Old age homes, Rehabilitation centers etc. In old-age homes, counsellors job is to ensure that the residents should not feel lonely or worthless. Counsellors working in rehabilitation centers (E. g. Drug addicts) help the patients to reduce the intake of the drug. They try to figure out the reasons and help them come out of their miserable life. They do not deal with serious cases.
2. Trainees with Clinical psychologists: students can assist Clinical Psychologists in Psychometric testing and Counselling. But as this field is specialised, it is advised for students to complete their Masters.
3. Trainees in HR, Sales and Marketing: Psychology Students can train under the respective departments to understand consumer behavior, group dynamics, the latest trends etc. Collect data via surveys and compile reports work for MNCs and organizations.
