Please remember scholarships are competitive and awarded to the most deserving students.
At the graduate level you can get funding in the form of graduate assistantships where you work or research with professors.
In exchange you may get your entire your partial tuition fees waived, and get a monthly stipend to cover your living expenses however such awards are very competitive.
For your reference find below some of the parameters considered by Canadian universities to grant scholarships to international students.
- Very good academic record and high scores in GRE and IELTS or TOEFL.
- Work experience.
- Participation in extra curricular activities.
- Paper Presentation in national and international seminars.
- Articles published in various journals.
So as per your query I would suggest you to:
1. Select the course you wish to pursue.
2. Once it is decided then you need to shortlist the universities where you wish to apply.
3. Once shortlisted you may then contact the admission department of these universities either through email or Phone to know the exact eligibility criteria for scholarships.
4. If you meet the eligibility criteria you may then apply accordingly.
Now coming to loan then please remember nowadays almost all the banks offer education loan to students, to pursue their education in India or Abroad.
The banks offer maximum loan of Rs 10 Lac for education in India and Rs 20 Lac for education abroad.
The repayment period vary from 5-7 years.
The bank do not ask for any collateral security up to the amount of Rs4 lac, but if the amount exceeds Rs 4 lac then the bank will ask for collateral security.
The repayment of the loan amount starts after 6 months of completion of course or after 6 months of getting job, which ever is earlier.
