The course is offered for the duration of two-years. It is further divided in eight semesters. The syllabus includes multiple core and additional subjects. The additional subjects are SEC, AEC, VAC, etc. Students may be given a choice in additional subjects. Some first semester subjects of Thermal Engineering course are General Proficiency, Optimising Techniques, etc.

Yes, the university is one of the top private institutions for Engineering in Uttarakhand. It has been ranked by various ranking bodies. Some of ranking bodies are IMRB International, Times Engineering, India Today, etc. As per India Today 2024 report, the university secured a position of #85 in engineering category. 

Yes, GD Goenka University accepts students through entrance basis for several programmes. The university accepts Goenka Aptitude Test for Admission/ GATA. Students can also submit score secured in other accepted exam.

The selection is completely based on GATE exam score. Candidates have to fill an application form on official university website. Moreover, they can also appear for an online Q-CARE exam. It is a scholarship exam conducted by university. After result announcements, the university allots seats in different courses as per student's preference. Selected students receive a PLA. Students have to pay first semester fee and submit documents within 15 days of receiving PLA.

The application fee for PG courses is INR 1,200. Students can fill the form on official university website. Moreover, they can also appear for Q-CARE exam conducted by university. It is a scholarship exam. The admissions are on the basis of GATE merit score. Seat allotment is done by university.  

The admission process generally starts after GATE results are out. The GATE results are generally announced in March. All applicants have to register on official university website. The university allocates seats on the basis of merit score in entrance exam. Moreover, students can also appear for Q-CARE exam for scholarship. It is conducted online by the university.

The GATE exam is conducted in the month of February. Registrations can be done on respective website. The application forms are generally out in last week of August. The application fee is INR 1,000 (female/SC/ST/PWD) and INR 2,000 (Male/General/OBC/EWS). Students have to register separately on university website as well for admission in MTech. The registration fee is INR 1,200. 

Yes, you can pay the fee in installments. The fee for each academic year is divided in nine installments. However, an interest rate of 10% is applicable on EMIs. The university also offers education loan to financially weak students. Students can apply for loan via loan assistance cell in university. 

For taking admission in IAM Institute of Hotel Management, Guwahati,   camdidates have to apply online on the official website of college. They have to appear for an online aptitude test (Common Hospitality Aptitude Test). It is conducted across different centres in cities. Following this, candidates are called for GDPI round. 

The total fee is different for state domicile and other students. First year fee for Uttarakhand students ranges for INR 88,000 to INR 1.1 lakh. For other state students, fee ranges from INR 93,000 to INR 1.15 lakh.  Fee can be paid semester wise via Demand draft or NEFT/RTGS. Additionally, other charges like transportation, hostel, uniform charges, etc. are also applicable.

The eligibility for applying is Graduation in relevant discipline. Students who have done BTech/MCA/MSc are eligible to apply. However, the minimum aggregate is not mentioned by the university on its official website. Admissions are completely entrance-based. Accepted exam is GATE. Moreover, the university offers various scholarships on the basis of Q-CARE exam. 

IAM Institute of Hotel Management, Guwahati application process is conducted on online mode. Candidates have to fill the application form on the official website of college. Howver, candidates can ask the admission commitee and enquire if offline applications are acceptable. 

Yes, the institute offers a PG degree in MTech. The total duration of course is two-years. The admissions are based on GATE scores. Students can also appear for Q-CARE scholarship exam conducted by the university. The university offers more than 33 seats in different courses. Indian students should take min. 12 credit hrs/semester for UG or 9 credit hrs/semester for PG courses at the Northern Illinois Uni. UG students ideally should aim for 15 credits per semester to graduate in 4 yrs.
