This is the question which comes in mind of every MBA aspirant. See, You should go for MBA or PGDM depends on one more aspect, as one can directly tell you that yes PGDM has more advanced syllabus in compared with MBA for so and so reason, which I don't deny at all, but you need to consider the other side also. Like for example it also depends on the institution you select, if I got selected in IIM for MBA course (just saying) and also I got offer letter for PGDM from any other renowned institute then definitely I will prefer IIM MBA and not PGDM. To boost your career PGDM is most preferable course, as it has advanced course curriculum which meets industry requirements and helps you to get better placement. Where as MBA is degree course offered by any university. Where course curriculum is not much upgraded as per the industry requirement. Another thing if you have no plan for further study like Ph.D, then MBA degree will not give you any extra edge. You may also explore some good colleges, which are taking admission based on the CAT score. -

4 years agoHello Priyanka, it's very nice to see your desire to go in for a management course after completion of your graduation in Computer sciences engineering. Many institutions call this course, pgdm, as a diploma but it is actually a 2 years course after graduation while some institutes call it MBA. without any hesitation you should go for the institute in which you can get admission for this course.
