Regarding Masters in Bio Informatics in USA, Canada.

My sister is currently doing her Bachelors degree in Microbiology, Bio Chemistry. She intend to study bio informatics for her Masters. But her degree is only 3yrs which will sum up to 15 years of education. Will that be enough for MS or 16 years education is must.
