Hi, LPU is one of the safest places and is very strict in its rules and regulations. Few safety and security features I will highlight. 1) The university ensures Zero tolerance to Ragging, Alcohol, Smoking, Drugs, and Disciplinary Misconduct. These are strictly prohibited in the university campus. 2) Automated Turnstile Gates with biometric machines regulate entry to hostels. Nearly 4000 CCTV cameras and experienced security staff deployed at all strategic locations throughout the campus ensure 24X7X365 security. Data is saved to track the movement of students/ visitors. 3) The online leave system informs parents through SMS about leave status/ movement of their ward. The warden/ staff may intimate the parent in case a student repeatedly comes late into the hostel or indulges in some undesirable activity. 4) Students will get parental care in the hostel premises. 5) Girls are not allowed to go out of the hostels after a specific time. 6) 24X7 medical facility. 7) Every facility is provided in the hostel itself so that students don't need to go out. Apart from the academics, every university provides the option to the students who are from far flung area to stay inside the campus. One of my cousin who took admission in LPU last year told that LPU also offers such a facility to its students, staff and faculty who are from far flung areas where commuting is not possible. She highlighted the facilities which LPU offers: 1. Separate residential Facility for the students with different seater. 2. Rooms are with B.Ed study table, chair, almirahs, desert cooler and geyser. 3. AC rooms are also available in the above category. 4. Differential food facility 5. Laundry facility 6. Gym facility to remain fit 7. Safety and security to be the most prior 8. Over and above the medical facility being provided inside the beautiful campus. 9. Mess and canteen facility in every hostel is there. 10.24*7 electricity supply and Wi-Fi. 11. There are general facilities such as :dedicated hotline and power backup for 24 hrs power supply at university campus. 12.60+ATMs of 5 nationalized banks and Post Office facilities for money transfer, speed post, etc. 13. Study room, TV room, Saloon, Photocopy Machines, Departmental store for daily needs, Cafeteria, vending Machine (soft drinks), Lifts and Parking facility. 14. University-Mall, an eight- storied complex, houses departmental stores, various shops, banks, food-courts. These help students to meet their daily needs on the campus itself. 15. There are 100+ eating joints across the university at different locations near hostel areas. 16. Academic support and recreational sports are also provided 17. Last but not the least girls are more safer in LPU because of the safety and security deputed at every corner. This year, I was bit worried about the safety measures because of COVID-19, then I came to know that, LPU has also taken some of the initiatives which are as follows: 1. Wearing of mask by all 2. Daily sanitation 3. Strict rules of movement 4. All the hostel rooms and buildings are sanitized and unnecessary movement of anyone is prohibited 5. No big gathering 6. Thermal scanners Over an above nearly 4000+ cameras are installed in University for the safety and security of the student. Hope this pandemic ends soon.

Hi, I can assure you because they're a lot of relatives who have sent their girl child to LPU. They stay in LPU hostels and fortunately I and my family are becoming guardians, jokes apart. GIRLS ARE SAFE AND SECURE AT LPU CAMPUS As LPU is itself a mini town it its periphery. Student do not need to pass the gates of LPU for any essentials, you just name the thing and it is available inside the LPU campus only. Regarding safety concerns : # Whole campus, means every nook is Covered with CCTV cameras. # Outsiders are not allowed to enter the University campus without GATE pass. In fact the staff who does not have RFids of their conveyance are not allowed to enter without the GATE pass. # Girls do not go outside the university at any given point of time, to go outside the university, permissions from parents is taken to provide them with the GATE pass. The university is secured completely with high walls, barbed wires, security guards and CCTVs so no loop holes where they can sneak from. # Girls do report at their specific hostels in the particular time duration 7 pm, and they cannot escape from hostels as boys are allowed to roam the university till 9pm maximum. # Girls who wants to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs of time and will be accompanied by guards to the library and back from the library to their respective hostels. # Girls are handled by the women security guards only. Illegal substances are strictly forbidden and regular checks are done to make sure such activities does not happen in the university. # Any offensive act is not at all appreciated inside the campus and results in strict actions are taken against such act by the University. Thus, the gist is without any doubts LPU hostels and LPU campus is safe for not even Girls rather it is safe and secure for Boys also. Being a guardian to the children of our relatives studying here in LPU. I also advise you to avoid any suggestion of PG accommodations outside the University and be happy and enjoy safe stay inside the LPU campus hostel.

Hi The LPU campus is the safest place a student can vouch for as LPU takes pleasure in catering to the needs of its students for an over all well being. The residential faculty & staff provide after-hours guidance and support to the students. Facility of library, salon, shopping mall etc. Is provided in the campus. LPU is manned by over 400 full time security officials, thousands of security cameras, LPU is one of the safest campuses in the world. The University has its very own fire station department. LPU also has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles ensuring that every movement is monitored. The girls have special timings and the outings are messages to the parents. The innumerable security officials on the campus make LPU the safest place. Besides all this the regular amenities like B.Ed almirah, table, mess, laundry etc. Are also provided. The security officials are just a phone call away. Stay safe and secure is what LPU believes in. There are various kinds of facilities available in hostels such as Room service, Saloon, General stores, Canteen etc. For any kind of inconvenience regarding residential facility one can log their request in RMS which will be resolved within few days. The residential faculty & staff provide after-hours guidance and support to the students, in case they need any academic or life advice. Students have opportunity to become independent! Hi Megha, The first thing that almost parents are concerned about is the safety and LPU is one campus that takes security of all their students very seriously. There are automated biometric machines that keep a record of each entry and exit in the hostel. Next comes food, the mess here is super hygienic and provides us with quality food four times a day. They also have an in-house hospital in the campus that is staffed with resident medical officers. There is also medical lab, dietitians, and physiotherapists who take proper care of our health. There are various kinds of facilities available inside the campus such as cafe, Saloon, General stores, Canteen, hospital, gym, creche etc. For any kind of inconvenience regarding residential facility one can log their request in RMS which will be resolved within few days. In Hostel rooms you will get-Iron Beds, Study Tables, Plastic Chairs, Almirahs, 1 Geyser, 1 AC. (depends on the type of room you opted). .

Dear Megha, I am very happy to share my experience with you as my cousin done her graduation from LPU and she got placed in Cognizant with top package. I visited LPU with my family many times to drop her. I seen the facilities and security arrangements of LPU. In hostel, room have AC, Geyser and 24 hours electricity facility. For each student, separate B.Ed almirah, locker, study table and chair is given. The whole hostel is under CCTV surveillance. The food quality in mess and canteen is also good and full of hygiene. The hostel has many other facilities such as ATM, Laundry, a general store, study room, TV room, saloon, photocopy machines, departmental store for daily needs, cafeteria, vending Machine for soft drinks, Lifts, medical and Parking facility. The lush green gardens are most attractive part of LPU hostels. The security of hostels are very good. No one can enter the hostels without electronics access of GATE turnstiles. The 24 Hour security guards maintain the security of whole campus. If any student want to leave campus, he must consult her warden for required permissions. The university Mall and university Hospital in side the campus provides all kind of facilities to his students. So overall, the environment of LPU hostel is very health and good. My sister spend her four years in LPU hostels and she never faced any kind of problem. She is even missing her those days.
