Hi,
To start preparation, as you are in first year of your graduation, you can start preparing for the exam form now on.
The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) of India conducts the exam and on the basis of the result IAS, IPS, IFS officers are selected.

Hi, first of all great to know that you want to go for Civil Services. Keep it up.
There would be two papers in prelims- Reasoning Aptitude and English Comprehension. Followed by the main exam that would entirely be subjective.
I would suggest you to spend quality time everyday by reading journal
