Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Textile Management (SVPITM) can a student from B.E (CSE) can join this college?

My friend is interested in joining this college Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Textile Management (SVPITM) but he has studied B.E (CSE) with me and he has no idea about textiles.any one think this is a good idea? and whether he will get selected or not?
