Hi, As the medium of education in most of the universities abroad is english, so all the international students whose first or native language is not english, have to take either TOEFL or IELTS test to prove their english language proficiency. Both IELTS and TOEFL has 4 section namely: *Reading *Writing *Speaking *Listening TOEFL (Test of English as Foreign Language) is of 120 marks, and all the good universities requires 80-90 plus score. IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is of 9 bands, and all the good universities requires 6-7 bands plus score. TOEFL/IELTS scores along with good academic records are the eligibility criteria to get admission in good universities. A good TOEFL/IELTS scores, always increases the chances of getting admission in good universities, so it is always advisable to prepare well for TOEFL/IELTS, so that you can get admission in the university of your choice. TOEFL is a English proficiency test and it help to get admission in abroad universities , if you are willing to go in abroad for you study then you need to give English proficiency test
