    Talking about its career prospects:
    One can start his or her career as a management trainee, analyst, or front line supervisor. The field has no standard career path, but with a broad base of business skills, knowledge of supply chain processes, and relevant internship/work experience, you will have the opportunity to begin your career with a manufacturer, retailer, carrier, third party logistics firm, or other organization. Starting salary will range between Rs. 10,000 and Rs 15000.

    I saw everyone is talking about the job profiles, but we need to see does SCM stands somewhere in the market. Yes it definitely stands.
    As said bu Neha- It starts from collecting raw material to manufacturing to reaching the consumers. This only lines explain the importance of SCM.

    One can earn between Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000 per month as a beginner in this field. After a year or two of experience, you can expect a package of Rs 18,000 to Rs 22,000 a month. Those working at a higher level can easily earn Rs 8 to Rs 12 lacs a year.

    Commodity Buyer
    Supply Planner
    Supplier Manager
    Purchasing Executives
    Implementation Manager
    Procurement Officer
    Material Manager
    Inventory Manager
    Head of Supply
    Head of Procurement.
