I am Gourav and i am from Jharkhand and currently i am in class 12 and i want to know whether to choose Govt. college or Private for Game Art & Design after 12 . Please tell me about the courses available, scope in India, salary of Game Artist/Designer and the Best College/Institute name.

Hello Gourav,
You must select best suitable option for you in Game Design segment. I know of very few options in Government Sector having focus on Gaming through a Course. You have to be passionate yourself apart from possessing artistic talent. There are fine art colleges mostly from Govt universities, but they mostly teach art and don't cover new media programs. Choose best source available by doing Research and Analysis yourself. Ensure that you get proper skill and mentoring by Experts. Typically past placements, infrastructure, faculty and exposure through Value addition matters the most in this industry.

Game Companies are not interested in whether you went to a Govt college or not. Surely Superinfocomm may better than your everyday BFA college. Typically BFA colleges also don't focus on animation or Game as a career. Nothing but your innermost talent and passion should lead you to the course and the institute you choose. Go speak to people over there and see if you like their philosophy and they change your perspective.Try their website for more details. Also remember that Animation requires good mentoring.
