    Hi Mallika, I see that like many others, you too are confused with CS and IT. Most students consider both of them to be almost the same. However, the difference arises right from the third year. IT deals mostly with software engineering whereas CS covers both Software Engineering and Hardware Engineering.
    Hence, with CS, you have more number of papers to take care of, but, you definitely get a priority during placements. Rest all depends on your dedication, your skill set and the marks you can achieve. All the best!

    Go for CSE from some top institutes. you got excellent percentage but your marks are no so good in JEE. i advise you to check for india top universities which provide good scholarship on the basis of 12th percentage so that you can take maximum advantage of your percentage. check admission in Lovely professional University, BITS, VJIT etc.

    U will not get any college on jee mains basis if u belong to general category.
    answering otherwise u should choose CS rather that IT seeing thee market value.
