Shall I do 12th (science) and then apply for CPL or is graduation required for the same?
I have received a number of suggestions that airlines prefer graduate students in case of ground duty.

Yes, definitely you are eligible to apply CPL after +2 with science stream. But, you need to have a good amount of money.
In my opinion, after +2, PPL is better. After doing this, go for CPL and ground handling, etc.
