Shall I join any NIT or drop a year to prepare for IITs? I have got 160 marks in JEE Mains and 10k rank in Advanced.

Depends on what NIT you have a chance of getting in. If there's any possibility that you'd be getting a branch of your choice in NITT, NITK, NITW, NITC or VNIT, then you can go ahead with that. Otherwise, I'd suggest you to go for Long term coaching and try the best you can to get into one of the ol
