7 years agoIn my opinion, you should opt CSE from MNNIT-Allahabad, because MNNIT Allahabad provides good CSE faculty members, good course curriculum, good placements and good computer labs also. -

You are in better condition as there is an option as P&I in IIT, Roorkee. P & I is one of the best branches in IIT-R with average placement greater than civil or chemical branch. It is around Rs. 12 LPA, as per the data published in the college magazine. This branch is a combination of mechanical engineering and management studies. You have a decent chance of placements as well as the fair opportunity to do MBA.

Hi, I was in similar dilemma last year to choose from MNIT, Jaipur CSE, and IIT, Roorkee Polymer Science and not Warangal Electrical and electronic engineering. You are in better conditions as you have an option as P&I in IIT, Roorkee. P & I is one of the best branch in IITR with average placement greater than civil or chemical branch of IITR around Rs. 12 lakh p.a, as per data provided in college magazine. This branch is combination of mechanical engineering and management studies. You have decent chance of placement as well fair opportunity to do MBA.

For students belonging to the General AI quota, most of the BTech branches remained open till the last round for admission at IIT Roorkee. The cutoffs of different branches vary across rounds and categories. Some of the BTech branches, such as CSE, ECE, Civil, and Mechanical, etc., reflected a rise in the last round, closing ranks as compared to initial rounds, indicating IIT Roorkee seats remained vacant till the last round for BTech admission. Whether the branch will remain open till the last round or not depends on the availability of seats allocated for each category. In the meantime, candidates can check out the round-wise cutoff
To get into IIT Roorkee, students must target to secure a maximum rank of up to 2556 for BTech admission if they belong to the General AI quota. The lower the cutoff rank, the higher the probability of getting the top BTech branch for admission. The required cutoff rank varies for different rounds, courses, specialisations and categories. Candidates can refer to the table below to view the IIT Roorkee branch-wise required cutoff in the last round for SC AI category students.
