Shall I pursue mechanical engineering from NIT, Sikkim or CSE from LPU?

Lovely professional University is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Number of admissions in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. I am saying this because I completed same course from Lovely Professional University, Reviews are pretty good. Well, the study of CSE in LPU is very good. CSE is one of the branches in LPU having wonderful placements. Most of students get placed in reputed companies with few opting for higher studies. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Professors are easily approachable in the college and are well experienced. They are very supportive of all technicalities. Students can contact them anytime for their study purpose. The latest teaching methods are used in the classroom. Curriculum in CSE branch is very well designed such that they can learn everything from basics to the in-depth knowledge of their field. NIT Sikkim is definitely a good institute. The LPU offers a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem-solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal, etc. Specialisation. The Eligibility Criteria is (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics, and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) The course aims at enabling the student to Effectively build and communicate the solutions using learnings from basic mechanical engineering, basic sciences, mathematics, and computational skills and tools. He should have the ability to design using Design of Machine Elements theories and to create prototypes using relevant manufacturing technology. He should acquire the Capability of building efficient energy conversion systems using a basic understanding of Thermodynamics Heat transfer, and Fluid Mechanics. He should demonstrate the ability to propose cost-effective optimized solutions using simulated environments of Computer-aided design, computer-aided manufacturing, and computer-aided engineering. The highest salary package offered to mechanical branch students is 31 LPA, while the average salary is 4.8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Bosch, ONGC, Ashok Leyland, Hitachi, etc.

That's completely one's choice but BITs are definitely good but to my advice, one must go for Computer Science and Engineering as it has been one of the most lucrative and competitive course to study since its inception in Indian engineering colleges. Hi Himanshu, If you are eligible for mechanical on NIT Sikkim and you are getting NIT Sikkim, then go for NIT Sikkim without any doubt because you don't get any good college than this.

NIT, Sikkim is not a bad institute. Moreover, better study at NIT than studying at LPU. Dont go by sayings its ur owm self, u get knowledge u succed. Afterlife is only dat matters.

Well, as per my knowledge all the Universities are doing good at their end but If you will ask for CSE branch then without any second thought I will suggest you to choose Lovely Professional University. My cousin brother has completed same course from LPU and his experience at LPU was amazing, he has learnt a lot.
