    JAM is an admission test to Master of Science (M.Sc. ) and other post-graduate Science programs at the Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institute of Science, and other institutes. The main objective of JAM is to provide admissions to various M.Sc. , M.Sc. -Ph.D. dual-degree and other post-graduate programs based on the performance in a single test.     For MCA in IITs, one needs to qualify IIT-JAM. It is a national level examination organized by the IITs and IISc on a rotational basis. Application forms are available from September and exam conducted in the month of February. Admissions start from the month of June. Admission will be given in IISc Bangalore and IITs on the basis of all India merit list of JAM. The candidate who will clear any of the paper of JAM, they will be eligible to take admission. Once the IIT JAM is out, all the qualified candidates will have to apply for the institute, which will organize the IIT JAM.

  • For MCA admissions in IITs, one needs to qualify IIT JAM exam for MCA.
    The minimum educational qualification is to have a Bachelor's degree with Mathematics as a subject for at least one year for annual system candidates/ at least two papers of Mathematics for semester system candidates.
