Since no of attempts in CAT are not limited you can try this year too after proper coaching. If not selected, go for a job and add some work experience to your profile and try next year too. -
It totally depends on your preference and what you want to do in your life. For example, marketing and at times finance companies look to hire freshers or students with relevant experience. Consulting and general management firms typically hire people with some experience. Also if you work for a couple of years, you get some insights into corporate world and hence are better placed to make decisions regarding your career. keeping these things in mind you should decide when you want to pursue your MBA. Either way you are not disadvantaged to get an admission in IIMs.
