PGDM and MBA are the same degrees with different Nomenclature. It is the IIMs that have not changed their degree titles through these are two year Master's degree equals. What matters is where you go for higher studies or jobs. Both are equal in terms of status.

The main reason why postgraduate courses are named as PGDM is because when an institute is an autonomous body (not affiliated to any university) and conducts management courses, then such institutes cannot offer MBA degree. MBA degree will be a great option.
