6 years agoIt doesn't matter which subject you choose in class 11th, as because MBA is a whole set of Management studies with in depth field study. Practical lessons would be more than theoretical. Yes, commerce will give you slight advantage in MBA. But, being an engineer I am doing MBA as well and I am enjoying the same. So, study whatever interests you. -
If you like to pursue maths as your stream, it will definitely help you in MBA as during MBA too, solving numericals will be easy for you. Thus, if your dream and aim is MBA marketing, you can study whatever your heart says and you can land up in MBA in marketing, IB and HR. For more, browse Shiksha.com for good colleges.

You can pursue MBA after any UG degree. So, it doesn't actually matter which subject you choose. Taking Maths can help you in quants paper of MBA as well as certain papers in Operations and Finance.

MBA in whatever stream you do, it is related to business. If you think of climbing higher ladder in an organisation, you need to be good with numbers and maths is a subject which helps you be comfortable with numbers. As you think to take marketing or HR, but when you try for posts beyond Vice President in an organisation you need be comfortable with numbers. Otherwise, it will be a indirect barrier for you. Maths is a good subject, try, learn and be comfortable. No need to be master in maths but basics are must.

No, you don't need to study maths if you want to do MBA. Choosing commerce could be the best for you in 11 class. Because maths has no role in MBA.

I was at similar dilemma after my 10th. Unfortunately, I choose maths and regretted studying engineering. Now, I feel I should have gone for commerce, then BBA MBA. I shared my experience, now it's upto you. Also, doing BBA+MBA from good business school is far more fruitful than suffering engineering. But, yes, whatever you choose, it'll be settled at the end.
