Should I choose Sharda University or Lovely Professional University?

LPU is India's single campus private university and is located in the place of Jalandhar, Punjab. LPU got the recognition from University Grants Commission (UGC). Lovely Professional University has got a membership with the AIU (Association of Indian Universities). Lovely Professional University has got recognition from NCTE. Business School of LPU is recognised by ACBSP, Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs from the USA ensuring quality education and industry-experienced faculty members, studying in LPU will get a degree accredited from a body of USA. Lovely Professional University has a fascinating sprawling campus which imparts a lot of facilities in the campus itself such as Wi-Fi enabled campus, Auditoriums, shopping, sports, cafeteria, Gym, Entertainment, Central library, and Medical center. By Outlook India, Lovely Professional University has got 66th rank among engineering colleges. THE ADMISSION PROCESS:- I noticed that the process of admission in LPU is so convenient and smooth as compared to other universities. Other universities can shatter the confidence of a student by vigorous and cumbersome counseling sessions (with no flexibilities) which make the student lose confidence and increase the stress on them. FEES & SCHOLARSHIPS:-I have seen other colleges/universities asking for a hefty amount for an even lesser quality of education. The scholarships provided by LPU are very generous and the same goes for the fees in LPU. So, I got myself a scholarship of 40% which was the maximum scholarship possible in the B.Tech CSE (Hons. ). Programme. The merit-based scholarships in B.Tech programs specifically stay the same for the whole duration of the course I. e. 4 years. EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: LPU is the most happening campus with daily events and competitions. LPU may have the largest number of organizations to participate in and learn new things from. LPU provides you a sense of responsibility too by encouraging students to do entrepreneurial ventures and explore every aspect of their life. FACILITIES: If I talk about Infrastructure, LPU's campus is one of the largest lush green campuses of India which is spread over 600+ acres. Gym, Hi-Speed 24 Hrs free Wi-Fi service, Swimming pool. Very good central Library of 6 floors and huge collection of text-books and reference books. The campus has its own hospital, hotel, and mall. The classes are well-designed with all the amenities. As I myself had gone through the same phase a couple of years back. Choosing a University is a big decision, as our career fully depends upon that. LPU is having experienced, specialised and well qualified faculty members. 70+ faculty / staff members have been from foreign countries, faculty from IIT, IIM and IIIT as LPU concerned about the betterment of the students and long term growth of our University. At present there are around 70 faculty members from IIT, Iims, IIITs etc. 9)Tons of events - May it be Cultural, Sports or Academic. There are numerous events held in the University campus itself. If you like to dance/sing/act then you will have numerous cultural events, You get a handful of opportunities if you are sports guy. Let it be football, cricket, basketball anything. You will get many-many tournaments in every case. If you are a computer geek, you like coding and all that technological stuff. You are gonna have a great ride. 10)The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of students. Around 550+ companies visit every year for campus-recruitment of students from LPU. LPU is an axis for Joint campus placement drives. The placements at LPU keep getting better despite the ever-growing reigns of the pandemic, while the other institutions are still shaken by the soaring effects of the coronavirus outbreak.

Sharda University is a good University. LPU's investment in intellectual capital is way beyond comprehension, extremely qualified and talented. With a research powerhouse of more than 100 post-doctorates and 700 PHDs, LPU's strength is its academic power. Coming to its infrastructure, the huge 600 acre plus campus which is equipped with every machinery, equipment, and software required in all the programs is a wonder in itself, just, for example, more than 10 companies have established centers for excellence within the campus with their investment to keep an eye on the abundant talent. The central library is one massive 6 story building with lacs of books and a network to produce any title anytime and this is in addition to many other libraries in all the departments. Industry plays an important part in shaping the careers of students at LPU, from consulting for curriculum to guest lectures, industry interface, internships, consulting projects, establishing centers, providing machinery and equipment, software, certifications and finally immersing the students from campus. LPU provides quality education and has provided good rankings to the university on various parameters like placements, quality education, industry interface, infrastructure, international relations, Tie-ups, etc. LPU provides plenty of opportunities to its students to take part in events, competitions, fests in order to let them grow their personalities and give them a chance to polish their skills. I have completed my MBA from LPU and I believe that LPU is one of the best universities among all the B schools as well as other ranked universities.
