    Honestly, I wouldn't keep Chandigarh University as just a "last option" If you get CSE at this university, it's actually a good opportunity. The faculty are supportive, labs are modern, and placement are decent- many students get into reputed companies through campus drives. Taking a drop sounds appealing if you're aiming for IITs or NITs but it comes with pressure and uncertainty.

    The engineering dept gives you a platform to start immediately, explore coding, projects, and even prepare for higher studies or competitive exams side by side. I know seniors who joined CU thinking it was a backup, but later they realized it opened many door
