Should I do MCA or MSc IT?

I have done BSc IT from Mumbai University. I want to do further studies. So which option is better? MCA or MSc IT. Our college professors say that the syllabus of BSc IT and MCA is the same. So we should go for MSc IT rather than put 3 years in MCA But MSc IT has no scope that's what all say...What
