Should I drop a year for IIT or pursue B.Tech from private colleges?

    Degree from IIT has its advantage over degree from private colleges. Devoting one full year for JEE preparation has its own merits and demerits. Dropping a year means that you will get sufficient amount of time to prepare for entrance exam. It will allow you take mock up test and help to score good ranking in entrance examination. However, one year is a long time so the possibility of you may change your goals and objectives. You may become lethargic because of availability of time and lesser pressure. You may waste time.     To go in IIT u require to clear its entrance exam if u drop 1 yr you can do its proper preparation by joining coaching institites like fiitjee,bansal titorials or VMC etc, do this if you are confident enough. On the other hand if you choose to go for pvt colleges then go ahead with the college whose curriculum offers you a good platform to start ur career with, that too with good placement opportunities. On the othr part the colleges which u have in ur mind rgt now, the same will be availble to you after 1 yr also. so make a wise move. Goodluck

    If ur willing to study hard and prepare for IIT then u can drop other wise many good institute for pursing ENGG
