Almost 80% of the paper will come on the basis of NCERT syllabus, so make sure your basics of physics, chemistry and mathematics should be clear. You can also join a crash course after your board exams from any of the finest institutes or you can purchase some reference books.

If u aren't getting any good colleges from other then JEE. Then may be You can drop. But remember a lot of time has already passed and it will be tough to prepare. but remember if you are sure u can do that then go for it.
