Should I drop a year to prepare for IIT-JEE? I have scored 64% in 12th and hence couldnt appear for JEE exam.
Shall I appear for CBSE improvement exams for all 5 subjects?

Hello Sandeep,
If you are looking forward for IIT-JEE next year then also look forward for improvement exam to secure more than 75% percent to became eligible for admission in nit's and IITs. So, figure out what went wrong and prepare very well for next year.
