Should I drop my year just because I am doing BBA from private university? Although, I have to do MBA from a high reputed university.

If your preparation is good for the entrance exam then you can take the entrance exam this year itself. Otherwise, you can drop one year and join a good coaching institute to crack exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, etc. to get admission in a reputed B-School.
