Should I drop one year and prepare for JEE for next year or should I get a private college if I couldn't get a good engineering college?

Hello Satya, Firstly, please do not begin your preparation with the assumption that you will not clear it. Have a positive frame of mind. You have an opportunity of appearing three times for JEE Mains. So taking a drop of one year to prepare is a very good decision.
