Should I drop or Not? JEE mains marks 2016 around 42 & 12th % around 88%.I just want a good college if not IIT's.

I am a regular school student and have passed my 12th in 2016. My jee mains paer didn't goes well and i would be able to score around 42 marks in it. So i am confused whether to drop or not. I just want a nice college with good placements.

Devoting one full year for JEE preparation has its own merits and demerits. Dropping a year means that you will get sufficient amount of time to prepare for JEE.
