In my opinion dropping year will give a gap of a year and will slacken you. You need to join the university of your choice and start with your academic career by working hard. LPU will make you polish your skills to the core and you will not regret not dropping a year. Log in to the website of LPU for admission because you can avail the best scholarships only till 15th June. Book your LPU NEST also from the portal of LPU. Rest assured the university will get the best from you and give you a successful career. NIRF ranking LPU received recently is also quite good:

I don't think it is a good idea to drop a year, Being alumni I must suggest, you should definitely take the admission in LPU in B.Tech. Civil engineering. Dear Xeeshan, I can give you the answer to this question based on the feedback received from my friends who are currently studying Civil Engineering at LPU. Besides, few colleagues of mine who have previously worked in the same Deptt. So, the following are the highlights of Civil engineering in LPU: -

Its a subject specific proctored test, I am sure you will be able to make it. Hi Xeeshan, in my opinion, year dropping is never be beneficial for any student. Let me quote some expert advise in support of my thought. "Candidates who might drop a year will have to study the concepts again and have to invest more time and money for the preparation of the exam. Since the competition is increasing every year, students cannot risk by taking a drop as chances of clearing the exam next year would be risky and can lead to demotivating. "
