I did MBA from LPU and I had many friends from Civil Engineering, so I have idea course,Placements,Curriculum, etc.One of my friend told that,This programme at LPU include a blend of hands-on experiential learning and theoretical foundational courses. The very best include a mix of traditional learning in laboratories and classrooms with cooperative programs that allow students to gain work experience. Others may include independent research with faculty members another good bet for individuals hoping to go directly into research or the workforce upon graduation. Coming to faculty, they are one of the best mentors to us & everything here is up to the mark. The faculty is supporting if one is willing to learn. They teach the subjects with their full effort. Writing board, screen-projector, labs are used to teach. The college arranges frequent industry visits. New innovative ideas were framed into working models and were showcased to 10000+ school students. The capstone project is an integral part of B. Tech program in which students have to pick a live project based on practical problem-based scenario (ideally from industry) and work for six months under a mentor and present a report at the end. This is beneficial to enhance your presentation skills. Industrial visits are organized to nearby construction sites from time to time. There, you can see actual construction work going on. Hi Ayushman, I will never suggest you to drop whole one year. Time you know is a precious resource, it doesn't come back. It is always better to grab opportunity as it comes. B.Tech Civil at LPU is an Engineering programme which articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology through lab practice and projects to gain knowledge in areas like Structural, Environmental & Highway Engineering, Construction Management etc. Which are in sync with industry requirements. LU ensures the following programme Outcomes 1 : Creating Civil Engineers who are competent enough to deal with real life problems and providing their sustainable solutions through knowledge of mathematics, Science and engineering, including project based learning and industry internship. 2 : Imparting knowledge of the latest technology and development in the field of Civil Engineering through updated curriculum and its content, incorporating software learning, E learning, practical learning. 3 : Skill development, both technical as well as soft skills, to make them ready to work in industry or as an entrepreneur, in its own domain or in multidisciplinary domain to achieve the desired outcome 4 : Inculcate a culture of lifelong learning through continuous up-dation and improvement in their knowledge domain and enhancing the professional bench-marking 5 : Build civil engineers who have a sense of social responsibility and deep understanding of professional knowledge and ethics in discharging their duties with right decision making at appropriate time to increase productivity and effectiveness Top it up with great placements ! Hi there, Hi there, dropping a year is not advisable. LPU NEST is not rocket science. LPU NEST is an entrance test conducted by LPU for admission to various programs. It aims to check how far the concepts from the previous qualification are clear. Those who have studied honestly will be able to make it. Don't you worry, the syllabus of LPU NEST is all that you have studied in your previous qualification? In addition to it, there are questions of reasoning, verbal ability, and analytical ability are also there. LPU NEST is a proctored exam and questions are asked in the form of MCQs. The result is displayed on the dashboard of the student after 24 hrs. One gets two chances of attempting LPU NEST. The best of the two results will be applicable for a scholarship. One has to register oneself with the university and pay online for taking LPU NEST. So don't be scared, prepare for it, go to the LPU NEST website to know the syllabus, attempt it and qualify it.
