Should I focus on IPM preparation or class 12th boards?

I am planning to take IPMAT 2019. I tried to manage IPM and board exams preparation simultaneously, but this is affecting my academic performance.

If you are pursuing 12th, then give your 100% attention to 12th only. Your 12th marks will not only help you in interviews and placements but will also help you in getting a good college later like PGDM etc. 12th syllabus is basis for many more exams there are that you can give. So if you prepare your 12th properly all exams will be easy to prepare for too. What you can do is stay updated with General Knowledge and keep solving practice sets of IPM once in a while. That will build your foundation along with improving your 12th result.

Students who are appearing for the Class 12 board exams and also the IPMAT exam should know that they need to balance the IPMAT preparation along with the Class 12 board preparation in order to succeed in both. Students can prioritize Class 12 board exams as they are important for the academic performance and future admission to the IPMAT colleges.

Preparing for the board exams will build a strong foundation for the IPMAT exam preparation as well. No amount of preparation can be enough if you do not have a good study plan. A well structured study plan which allocates time to IPMAT exam preparation as well as Class 12 board prepara

It is important to consider both while preparing!
IPM preparation requires a great deal of hard work, dedication, and a solid foundation built on the knowledge gained in class 12th boards. Therefore, you should strive to balance the preparation for both. Make sure to set achievable goals for each and allocate your time accordingly. Also note that to be eligible to take the IPMAT exam, you must score 60% marks in boards, so preparations for boards are important. If your board's syllabus and IPMAT syllabus are similar, the preparations must happen simultaneously!
If not, ensure you dedicate additional time to prepare for IPMAT but do not

Even if the candidate clears the sectional and overall cutoff in IPMAT exam but does not get shortlisted for the PI round, it means that the candidate is eligible but not among the top-ranked candidates based on the composite score. Such a candidate will not be considered for admission to the IPM programme.

Such candidates can opt for reappearing for the exam next year, as there is no provision of re-evaluation. Candidates can also consider applying to other institutes which accept IPMAT Indore scores, such as NIRMA University, TAPMI, etc.
