Should I get into some IT company or see for core electronics companies? I am from ECE department and I am interested in electronics field.

Yes, nowadays people look for companies or higher packages. That's what the primary concern is. It is little bit difficult to find core jobs. People try to get enter in companies first means they want job whether in core field or communication field (as in case of ECE). In my opinion you should first go for job whether in core field or not. Because you will get to know the environment and job experience. And then you can switch to any core field and get more packages as well. Just go for experience first. Best of luck.
