Should I go for improvement exam for 12th board in Assam? I have scored 70% in 2018 board exams which is not eligible for JEE.

I guess 70% is good enough to GET admission in some good private engineering colleges. It would be a waste of time to give improvement in 12th and it's not even known that the aggregate would improve or not. If you are confident that you can crack the JEE advance then you should repeat. But if you are satisfied with NIT if you have good marks in JEE Mains then go for NIT because many NITs are better than some of the IITs. There may be wastage of one year. So I personally suggest you not to repeat.
