Should I go for mechanical engineering being a girl?

I secured 90% in my class 9th (WBBSE) and I will clear matriculation exam this year. I want to do Mechanical but people say it is not good for girls. I have a good taste for physics, chemistry, mathematics.

Hi Urvi, why not? Mechanical is a core & one of the best branch of engineering but it has always been impression that mechanical means lot of physical work & its difficult for girls. Mechanical Engineering, like any other branch of engineering, is a white-collar professional role which requires that
