Should I go for RVCE or lower NITs with 21298 rank in JEE Mains for mechanical engineering?

Hello Vishwash,
Both the choices you are considering are pretty well. So, you can approach in any direction, however I will suggest you to go for NITs only because government colleges do have bit of edge than a private colleges no matter how good it is. Best wishes.
